About JeepsterGal

JeepsterGal, You Tube, Colorado Offroading, JeepI first came to Colorado on vacation from Texas in the mid 70s when I was 11 years old. I fell immediately in love with the snow capped mountains, wildflowers and cool air. And the most striking difference from Texas? No mosquitos! Colorado had a different "vibe" about it, and I went home and announced that one day, I would move to Colorado. That move finally happened in May of 2000 and it was like jumping planets! Soon I was traveling along the bumpiest, roughest, steepest, scariest roads I had ever seen...and I loved it! The photographer in me was thrilled to capture the amazing scenery of the American West. And the best way to get there was in a 4WD! Soon enough, I bought a Jeep Cherokee and it has taken me and my sidekick Rio all over Colorado. I photograph and make videos of all my adventures and I hope you enjoy the ride!

The History of Ironton The History of Ironton

The Red Mountain Mining District was prospected as early as September of 1879. As the miners made their way up Mineral Creek, north of Silverton, they found deposits of gold, silver, lead, and copper. The Red Mountain Mining District, on both the north and south sides of Red Mountain (Sheridan) Pass, was the most prolific
