I’ve got over 35 videos on You Tube and they cover everything from offroading to ghost towns. Most are centered in the San Juan Mountains, so if you love Ouray, Silverton and Telluride, then you will enjoy these! I mount the videocamera on my Jeep and provide a unique perspective to offroading in Colorado. Please click the You Tube icon to see them all…
Trying to find you on Facebook No Luck
Sorry Jack, were you able to find me? It’s at: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Colorado-Vibes/310458769039?ref=ts. I was able to send updates to Facebook while I was in the San Juans, but wasn’t able to successfully post on my blog…I will be updating soon with new videos!
Nice Videos!! Can you tell me what kind of camcorder set up you have on your jeep? Is it mounted in a gyro or some type of anti-vibration device? i’m looking for something to mount on my atv front rack instead of a helmet.
Thanks!!
Hey, thanks for watching. I use a Sticky Pod (stickypod.com) for my videos. Takes a while to find the sweet spot to avoid vibration, but once you find it, you’re good to go!
I have enjoyed your videos to the point of going to Ouray . I have spent a week there for the last two September’s and plan on going every September till ??? Every year I have caught the Aspens in there full golden glory and it has snowed in the upper elevations one night each year. I also like taking pictures, last year I took 8,000 pictures and five hours video. I set up on the side of 550 above Ouray and did a timelaps of the sunset and Ouray going to sleep for the night I also did some HDR panorama of Yankee Boy Basin and Engineers Pass, Imogene Pass. And if you ever see a tricked out yellow 1953 Willys Jeep with an Oklahoma tag (SAY HAY)
Thank you for your video’s Rex

I am planning an October trip in my Jeep to Telluride/Alpine Loop from Dallas, TX. Never been there and hear that it is a wonderful experience. I have enjoyed your videos and facebook pictures. Any tips for my excursion? Is first week of October a good time? Will you be there? Any advice will be appreciated.
– Arcie
Hi Arcie! First week is a great time, but you might miss the peak colors as far as autumn goes…the last week of September is the best for that….any later in October and the roads get closed due to snow. So, the first week of October should be good, snow-wise. I would definitely do Last Dollar Road in case the aspens are still changing. That is a spectacular road for autumn colors. If you combine Last Dollar with Imogene Pass or Ophir Pass, you will enjoy a beautiful loop to and from Telluride. Imogene brings you back to Ouray, Ophir brings you back to Silverton. Owl Creek Pass, where True Grit was filmed, is an easy road, but super gorgeous in autumn. That is outside Ridgway. I will be there the last week in September for about 4 days. Can’t wait! Enjoy your time there! There is NO bad trail in that area; it’s all scenic with jaw-dropping views!
Came back about a month ago from a long trek through Colorado driving over to Aspen, Carbondale, Crested Butte, Ouray, Telluride, Durango and then all the way back up to Dillon, RMNP and Estes. I couldn’t get my group to do anything more than the forest road into Crested Butte, but I definitely had the desire from watching your videos. I just love the scenery and your selection of tunes always seems to fit. Do you have any recommended albums/cds/groups for your drives as you don’t always reference your songs.
Thanks !!
Hey, glad you were able to get out on some of the trails anyway! I try to reference my music in the MORE INFO section of the You Tube videos, so try looking there if it’s not easily visible. For instrumental, I love Steve Wiseman (acoustic guitar) and Dan Gibson (Native American), especially. John Denver is always a great artist for the mountains. I also really love Vertical Horizon on my treks, but I guess it’s whatever you enjoy personally. Have fun!
Hi,
Great video’s, you gave me an idea to visit in Colorado and rent a jeep for doing all those trails. I live in Israel and i’m offroading myself, so if you came to Israel please let me know.
Eli.
Wow, it would be very interesting to offroad in Israel!! I hope you enjoy your trip to Colorado! It’s beautiful! Thanks for watching!
Really just wanted to thank you for your site. I lived most of my life in OK & KS. I vacationed, skied or both at least once a year in Colorado since the early 70’s. For 11 years straight, my dog and I made our yearly trip to regenerate. Camping and hiking near Monarch, Deckers, Telluride, Creed and many other areas. I’m an old fart now and can no longer go alone so I use videos and YouTube to bring back those great times. You can have the theme parks and cruise ships, I’ll take the mountains, my two man tent, my old Vasque hiking boots and a sleeping bag any day.
I’m so depressed about the fires in Waldo Canyon and Ft Collins. I walked that trail thru the canyon off 24 with a couple of buddies many years ago. I’m rambling now so I’ll stop. I just want to thank you for the videos. I’ve looked at the trail at Telluride with Google earth a hundred times but your video brought it to life. Thanks again. Be safe and pray for some good rain and good luck for those fire fighters. Donate to the charities helping those displaced and especially those who lost it all. It makes me physically ill to see what’s going on. Thank you again,
Peace be with all affected
Thank you so much for your kind words and I’m glad you’re enjoying my videos. The Waldo Canyon Fire has been rough on the city of Colorado Springs but we are pulling together to help those affected. Thanks so much for thinking of me, I appreciate it.
Love your videos. Looking forward to more. Anything new coming soon?!!
Headed down there in 2 weeks. Stay tuned!
Hello Jeepster Gal,
I enjoy watching your videos. I was wondering it has been awhile since you posted anything new do you have anything in the works? I have explored around Blackhawk/Central City and the Leadville area.
Anthony
Nothing new right now…I need to branch out from the San Juan Mountains, as I’ve done nearly every trail down there from easy to moderate. I would like to do Tin Cup and Cumberland Pass this summer for a video…thank you for watching!
